Mini Toad in the Hole
Ingredients
- 12 Gluten Free Chipolatas
- 1 tbsp Sunflower Oil
- 50 g Cornflour
- 2 Eggs
- 75 ml Soya Milk
Instructions
- Heat the oven to gas mark 6. Put the chiploatas in muffin tins (2 in each) with the sunflower oil (although we like to use Goose Fat) and cook for 15 minutes until browned.
- Tip the cornflour into a bowl, crack the eggs into it and mix it togther. Slowly add the milk (we use soya milk but feel free to use your prefrerred milk), stirring all the time. Leave to stand until the sausages are brown.
- Remove the sausages from the oven, while the fat is sizzling hot, (you need to be quick), pur in the batter mix and transfer to the top of the oven.
- Cook in the oven for 25-30 minutes, do not open the oven until they are cooked, leave them until they are risen and golden. Serve with gravy and your favourite veg
Notes
- Experiment with different types of sausages to create unique flavor variations. Try pork sausages, chicken sausages, or vegetarian sausages to suit your preferences.
- Add a touch of flavor to the batter by incorporating chopped herbs, such as rosemary or sage, or a sprinkle of grated cheese.
- For a festive twist, consider adding a spoonful of caramelized onions or cranberry sauce to the batter before baking.
